[If their brothers have differences, perhaps he and his otherworld self have differences as well. As strange as his situation is, Huaisang can't help but be a little curious. Not that he's in any rush to believe these otherworlders. He might believe the men that he's met to be sincere in their beliefs and he's not so arrogant to dismiss the legitimacy of the world they came from. Aside from Jiang Wanyin's spiritual weapon bearing some resemblance to the ring Jiang Cheng wears back home, Huaisang's yet to see irrefutable proof that any of this more than a string of peculiar coincidences and similarities.
For now, he's content to think of it all as a strange curiosity and leave it at that.]

Date: 2021-03-04 11:16 pm (UTC)[ It takes longer for Huaisang to form an answer to how the two were different. He had actually had very limited interactions with the other version of his brother -- really just enough to know that they were different. Their experiences didn't match up completely. ]
Honestly, I don't know how to explain it. It was like he was a stranger that I knew but I didn't know at all.

I see. I suppose it would be similar for me if I met your Nie Mingjue. Jiang Wanyin told me that you and I are different, too, in our own ways. He is similar to the man that I know but his own person as well. It is quite interesting.

Cultivating for youth and beauty can do wonders for maintaining one's appearance! Of course, there's other methods as well if you're not interested in that sort of thing.

There's many fantastical sights to see in this place. It will take so much time to see and become acquainted with it all. I would like to do such things. It would be nice to take this as an extended vacation from my duties while it last.
[Honestly, when is the last time, Huaisang's truly had a break? He's interacted with the small folk back home as both a sect leader and under the guise of a simple traveller but to extent of learning much about their way of life.]

Date: 2021-03-04 05:15 am (UTC)My life's a bit more unconventional than most, even from my world. Most people my age would get up, go to school and their lessons all day, study or do sports or stuff most of the night, then go to bed and repeat it.
I dropped out of school though. I'm an actress and a model, so most of my days are auditions or lessons or getting my pictures done. Rehearsing and practicing lines and all if I got a part in something.
I traveled around to different cities a lot, which was fun. I liked traveling for work.

[An occupation that doesn't allow romantic relationships? That's relatable enough as a shared predicament even if Huaisang's restrictions don't exist, technically. A clan obligation to marry and produce an heir despite feeling a little more romantically drawn to and comfortable with his male friends isn't at all the same thing. But maybe they share similar enough feelings about it to still connect somehow.
Not that Huaisang is entirely sure how this Syncing business is supposed to work exactly. He's just kind of fumbling his way through it all in hopes of getting somewhere.]
Some of them seem a little more familiar with this unusual circumstance. Hopefully, my twin and I will adapt and get along. I would like for us to be friends if such a thing is possible.
[It'd be much better than enemies. Could any world handle Nie Huaisang squared if they were enemies? Besides, he's still worn out after defeating his last opponent! Just let him relax, have fun, and relearn how to enjoy life again!]

Useful? I don't know if we're thinking the same thing about it...
I like performing because we get to make people happy and I get to help show off the songs Yuki works so hard to write, so "useful" doesn't really come into it (ノ*゜▽゜*)
[He assumes the implication is it's useful for disguising the nature of their relationship, but he's not biting on that one so easily. The most pragmatically he tends to think of it is that it's a means to make sure Yuki isn't bound by the more mundane world of clocked time and working under others.]

His understanding of his life and the universe as he's understood it has taken something of a hard blow. Between that and the absence of his sect, he hasn't felt so helpless and lost since he was a youth struggling his way through lectures he didn't have the slightest understanding of.]
It is wonderful that you and your darling are able to do work that you love so much. What a valuable opportunity for both of you. I compose poetry and play the guqin a little but I have little talent for music.
[But if Huaisang is to live here, he will need to find more ways to take care of himself. Perhaps performance is work he should consider. Eventually.]

But in my world, to get into my kind of work you have to start out performing for smaller audiences, maybe in bars and small live houses and stuff
And then if you get enough people interested, you might find someone who's willing to bring you into their agency, and they can get bigger jobs for you~~
So it's kind of a long and storied process, you don't just jump right in unless you're super lucky or already have connections (*・∀-)☆

[And Huaisang seems to have it. He can feel the warmth and it makes him smile with relief. So this is Manna, huh? Maybe making it won't be so difficult, after all. If all he has to do is just touch someone until they start generating Manna, that seems easy enough. If Huaisang does this with a lot of people, that would multiply the benefits wouldn't it? With enough helpers and dedication, surely he'll be able to have a nice, spacious home with beautiful works of art to go in it over time!]
