Hugging: Sure! Huaisang's pretty tactile and tends to enjoy physical contact very much.
Kissing: Sure! If Huaisang's into your character, he might get really into enjoying the moment. If he isn't attracted, he'll probably shrink back but he's unlikely to hit your character or anything. Platonic kisses on the forehead or top of his head are generally very much welcomed! Huaisang likes being spoiled.
Flirting: Sure! He might get flustered and shy or he might flirt back depending on his mood and comfort level with your character.
Romance: Sure, with OOC discussion and development! Friendship is pretty much a prerequisite to romance. He's unlikely to form that kind of connection otherwise.
Sex: Maybe, with OOC communication and development! I'm not interested in playing out just smut though. I want to play out other aspects of relationships, too, so if you're mainly interested in smut RP, especially PWP, we're probably not going to be a good fit.

Fighting: Yes but ask first so we can plot it out! Huaisang's not much of a fighter. He's more inclined to freeze and flee. He's more inclined to hid behind someone bigger than stronger than him. However, if he's backed into a corner with no way out, he might turn aggressively on your character and fight back with every tool he has available.
Injury: Superficial injuries are always fine. If something could potentially lay him up for a while, that'll need discussion and plotting. While Huaisang doesn't regenerate, he has a sturdier constitution and recovers a bit more quickly than the average human.
Death: Maybe! We can talk about it.

Mind-reading: Anything that's written into introspection as surface thoughts is fair game. Deeper stuff will require more OOC plotting and discussion so we're on the same page here.
Manipulation: Ask first! Huaisang's pretty weak to soft words and validation. Stroke him the right way and he could be a very loyal minion. Supernatural means will probably frighten him.

Backtagging: Absolutely! If I'm bogged down in backtags or thread's been ongoing for over a month or two, I might ask to handwave a conclusion just to bring us both up to speed though
Threadjacking: Netword threadjacks are always okay. Ask first with log threads but I'll probably say yes so long as the other parties agree.
Fourth-walling: No, please. This includes characters from The Untamed or other characters acquainted with his counterpart recognizing him as Nie Huaisang at first glance. Please do not have your characters react to them as if they are physically the same.

Format: Prose is preferred since I tag faster in it. I can do action format if necessary but please use proper capitalization as I find action tags without difficult to parse through.

CRAU: Discuss it with me first, please! In general, I'd prefer to focus on building CR independently of CRAU knowledge and references first. He might not believe that your character knew him or his brother for a long while and dismiss it is just one more weird curiosity. I'm open to working with it but it's going to need a delicate touch with him.

Shipping Preferences: M/M and M/F are both fine with me! Huaisang's bisexual and skews homoromantic but he's on the lookout for a potential wife to help him continue his family line. In general, I prefer complex, nuanced slowburn ships with character development and I'll keep going with them as long as they can be maintained ICly or one or both parties lose OOC interest in playing it. An open line of OOC communication is vital otherwise I'll have a hard time playing out a ship. Some favorite shipping tropes for Huaisang are slowburn Friends to Lovers, messy sexual affairs where one or both sides are catching feelings, or a combination of both. I can go soft or hard, dark or light, fluff or angst, all we need to do is communicate about it so we're on the same page.

Off-Limits: Graphic depictions of extreme and brutal sexual assault, cannibalism, pedophilia, necrophilia, incest, and extreme gore are all sensitive subjects for me so please use content warnings in the subject line of your tags so I don't get blindsided by upsetting content. If there's something not listed here that you're unsure I'll be okay with, please just ask me about it directly. I won't bite if you do.

I also ask that you be mindful of and warn for sensitive topics like abuse, grooming, violence, torture, etc, in general in subject lines in general when threading with me since other players in the game may read our threads.

Misc: Please do not have your character infodump any spoilers about Nie Mingjue's murder, any of Jin Guangyao's crimes, or his own future adult self on Huaisang without discussing with me first. I'm open to him finding things out eventually but not anytime soon and I'd much rather plot things out in advance.

Opt Out: Huaisang's canon deals with war and genocide. His own story touches on violence, murder, dismemberment, animal cruelty, and inciting a mentally ill man to commit suicide via summoning a soul into his own body. His entire personality is basically a walking spoiler for a major plot twist in Mo Dao Zu Shi so keep that in mind when you approach him. Due to his early canon point, most of this is unlikely to come up.
