He'd been planning this for a while, had packed a bag for Huaisang with all the essentials that was already on the boat with his own bag and the other items he'd picked up for the trip. And he'd arranged to pick him up, pulling up in front of their meeting place and getting out to greet him so he could catch him before he got into the vehicle.

"Yeah, get in." After he returns the kiss before moving back to the driver's seat, sliding behind the wheel to drive them to the dock.

"It won't be long, but I do still have to drive the boat, you know." He counters quietly, his gaze on the road.

"When we get out in open water, yes. But there's a fair bit of navigation before that." Wanyin points out dryly, glancing across at him at a light before rolling his eyes briefly.

"Come here." Then he leans over to kiss him, dragging it out until the light turns.

"Better?"

"...We don't have to set off immediately once we're on the boat." He's focused on the road again, his expression as neutral as he can manage.

"Depends on how many boats are out but maybe an hour." He shrugs a shoulder, turning a corner, gaze drifting ahead to the approaching docks.
