ACTIVE TIMES/PACE: My time zone is EST but I'm a chronic insomniac and keep odd hours as a result. For the most part, I tag during afternoons, evenings, or at night. I prefer to take on 2-3 threads at a time and boomerang them to completion before taking on any more. One I finish a thread, I'll add on another, rinse-repeat until all of them are done. I'm more inclined to take on more at a time with network threads that require less thought and focus.
BRACKETS/PROSE: I tend to prefer prose for longer threads and brackets for dialogue-focused threads. I can manage both and match preference when needed though. It's no biggie. All I ask is that you use proper capitalization when threading with me since I have problems processing sentence structure if everything's lowercase that will make it harder for me to tag you back.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Graphic depictions of extreme and brutal sexual assault, cannibalism, pedophilia, necrophilia, incest, extreme gore, and psychological abuse, including gaslighting, are all sensitive subjects for me so please use content warnings in the subject line of your tags so I don't get blindsided by upsetting or triggering content. IN CHARACTER
PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Huaisang's pretty tactile, particularly with close friends and family. While he's can be shy about initiating physical affection sometimes, he's pretty easygoing when it comes to receiving it. The closer or more comfortable he is with a character, the bolder he'll become with them.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Yes but ask first so we can plot it out! Huaisang's a low-level cultivator with poor fighting skills and cannot defend himself skillfully in direct confrontations. That said, he's capable of supernatural feats of strength, constitution, and agility and is unused to being around people incapable of the same so accidental injuries could happen. For the most part, Huaisang will avoid fighting as much he can and try to talk his way out of trouble, hide behind someone else for protection, or simply flee. Superficial injuries are always fine. If something could potentially lay him up for longer than a month, that'll need discussion and plotting first.
RELATIONSHIPS: Yes, but adult characters only, please! It'll need build up and development. Huaisang has a timid, anxious personality coupled with serious trust and intimacy issues. Handle him with care or we can plot something out. Younger characters having one-sided crushes on him is fine.
PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: For mind-reading, anything that's written into introspection as surface thoughts is fair game. Deeper stuff will require more OOC plotting and discussion so we're on the same page here. Most of the time, Huaisang's useless, histrionic persona will register as simply a facade. His mind feels colder, sharper, and compartmentalized. He's prone to emotional repression and sadness with bouts of instability.
MAGICAL INFORMATION: He'll blip as having low to moderate spiritual power to those who can sense that sort of thing. He's nothing to write home about.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: He's about as fit as your average NEET that doesn't eat or sleep enough and seldom exercises.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Mentioning Jin Guangyao in a positive light is going to get some odd, mixed actions from him. He may put your character at arms length. Speaking of his brother, Nie Mingjue, his sect, or his leadership thereof in a negative way may very well make him angry or hurt his feelings. He has a great love for his culture and attempts to dismiss it or treat it as inferior, especially without inquiring about it, will offend him. His lack of sword skills with the saber is kind of a sore issue for him and so are criticisms of his plot in canon. I request that under no circumstances that Nie Huaisang ever be informed of any romantic or sexual relationship that ever develops between Nie Mingjue or Jin Guangyao within the same game cast. The plot restrictions of Nie Mingjue and Jin Guangyao's relationship in canon will result in him becoming destructively obsessive, incapable of reason or maintaining his CR and all around render him unplayable in game. Feel free to pursue it in your corner of the sandbox away from him; just don't involve him in any way. If there's something you want to do, I'll work with you to keep him out of it.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
VISUAL: 5'8 (172 cm), slender build with an elegant face. Long, black hair that reaches his knees, doelike brown eyes. Frequently fidgeting with his fan, bracelet, etc. Looks to be in his early to mid-twenties at the oldest but is actually in his mid-thirties. Huaisang puts a lot of care into making sure his clothing is aesthetically pleasing, high quality, loose fitting, and comfortable. He's big on accessories such as jewelry, hair ornaments, and his trademark handpainted paper fan which he is never without. For the most part, he dresses in earth tones and prefers garments with a flashy, traditional edge. Whenever possible, he'll wear traditional and modern hanfu with emphasis on bird and nature patterns.

He comes across as submissive, nervous, timid, and rather soft. When he gets worked up, he's prone to rather direct and dramatic gestures, particularly with his fan, for emphasis. When he's at ease, he comes across as pretty gentle, placid, and content with just being a lazy idler. When he's tense and not acting, he tends to come across as very serious and closer to his actual age.
